CatCode is a pixel desktop pet for Windows that codes alongside you.

A little pixel puppy lives on top of your desktop: it follows your cursor, loves being petted, plays fetch with a bouncing ball, naps and wanders around like Desktop Goose — and it keeps you on track. Run a pomodoro and the countdown floats over its head; between sprints it reminds you to drink water, stretch and rest your eyes.

The twist for developers: CatCode watches for your AI coding agents. The moment Claude Code, Codex or Cursor finishes a task, your pet throws a little celebration — a one-line hook is all it takes.

Requirements: Windows 10/11. You get the Windows installer (.exe) with built-in auto-update.

First launch: Windows may show a SmartScreen "unknown publisher" prompt (CatCode isn't code-signed — an indie app). Click "More info" then "Run anyway". That's normal.
